According to a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, the victim’s husband, Nasir Yusuf, reported the matter after returning home around 11 p.m. to find his first wife in a pool of blood, having sustained multiple stab wounds.Police operatives from the Sabon Gari Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, swiftly responded to the scene and rushed the 30-year-old victim to the Federal Medical Centre, Daura, where she was declared dead.Investigations led to the arrest of the second wife, Rabi’a Labaran, who confessed to the crime. She admitted that a misunderstanding with the deceased escalated into a physical confrontation that tragically turned fatal.Katsina State Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu, has called on the public to avoid domestic violence and resolve disputes through lawful and peaceful means.
