When Governor Siminalayi Fubara visited the newly commissioned Government Girls Secondary School in Ahoada, he didn’t just stop at celebrating a milestone in education. What caught his attention and sparked swift action was the appalling condition of the Old Port Harcourt–Ahoada Road and the dangerously worn-out bridge leading to the school.
Disturbed by what he saw, Governor Fubara didn’t waste time. Right there on site, he approved the immediate reconstruction of the road and bridge.
True to his word, work is now ongoing. Earth-moving equipment, skilled engineers, and a well renowned indigenous construction company are actively transforming what was once a neglected stretch into a modern, motorable road that will boost access, safety, and economic activities in the area.
And the best part? The project will be completed in record time.
This is what purposeful leadership looks like. This is what keeping promises means.
This is why the people are saying—
#ReinstateOurPeaceIcon! #BringBackFubara!
