U.S. President Donald Trump has finalized the arrangement on U.S. $175-billion Golden Dome missile defence shield project. This is coming forth night as he selected a design and appoints a Space Force general to head the ambitious program aimed at blocking threats from China and Russia.

The project has significant offensive implications that increase the risks of outer space militarisation and an arms race.

China raises a major concerned about the U.S. Golden Dome missile defence shield project and urged Washington to abandon the development of the system to enhance trust among major powers.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration is resolved  in pursuing a U.S. policy that seek absolute security for itself, which violates the principle that the security of all countries should not be compromised and undermines global strategic balance and stability.

Reacting to the development the Chinese foreign ministry  spokesperson Mao Ning said on Wednesday. that the project carries \"strong offensive implications\" and heightens the risks of the militarisation of outer space and arms race.
