Newly released song titled \"With You\" by Nigeria\'s Afrobeats sensation David Adedeji Adeleke professionally known as Davido has been predicted by Spotify as one of the  Songs of Summer 2025. 

\"With You\" is a new single released in 2025 by Davido featuring Omah Lay.

Davido had through a viral video showing him on a call with legendary Bright Chimezie informing him that the inspiration behind the song \"With You\" was drawn from his (Bright Chimezie) song titled “Because of English.”

\"Because of English\" is a 10 minutes 35 seconds song released by Bright Chimezie, the king of \"Zigima Sound\" in 1984. The song seeks to emphasize the prominence of the language and alphabets of the Igbo people of the South-Eastern part of Nigeria.

Interestingly, the latest version by Davido featuring Omah Lay, is an Afrobeats song. It is also considered an Afro-pop and R&B track that has a blend of pidgin, Igbo and Yoruba languages fused in its lyrics to effectively convey its message resulting in a sound that is both modern and reminiscent of older Nigerian music.
