The duo face 23-count charges of conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretence, and money laundering involving ₦178.8 million. They allegedly lured the public into fake investments and laundered proceeds through proxies and bank accounts to acquire properties.

Both pleaded not guilty, but trial was adjourned to July 22 and 23, 2025, following defence counsel’s requests for more time. The EFCC is expected to present new witnesses due to changes since the initial filing.
