Former Vice President Alhaji Namadi Sambo has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Sambo, served as Vice President under President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan from 2010 to 2015 

While details of his defection are still emerging, sources close to the former vice president say the decision followed “months of consultations” with APC leaders at the national and state levels.
