Tensions have erupted within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a faction of the party has openly rejected its adoption by the Atiku-led opposition coalition.
Reacting to the coalition’s alliance with Ralph Nwosu, whose leadership tenure is said to have expired, a former ADC presidential candidate faulted the process, saying:
“If you seek to be part of the ADC, do the proper thing and come through the front door. We are a party of decent and well-behaved people.”
He further criticised the coalition’s style of opposition, noting that the ADC promotes a brand that both “opposes and proposes” — a standard the new political bloc allegedly does not meet.
