Ejodame said that after attempts to restore the communication link failed, the Air Force promptly activated standard emergency procedures, including return-to-base protocols and coordinated response actions involving sister services and relevant authorities.
He confirmed that the UAV was successfully contained and recovered, with assessment activities proceeding in line with established operational plans.
According to him, technical teams have secured the platform and commenced preliminary evaluations in accordance with standard safety and operational procedures.
“There was no loss of life, and operations across all theatres continue uninterrupted,” Ejodame said.
He reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to professionalism and sustained operational focus, assuring Nigerians that counter-insurgency operations across the country remain ongoing and unaffected in the interest of national security.
