Ganduje, who took over the leadership of the ruling party in 2023, said his decision was driven by health concerns, as he needs to prioritise his personal well-being.

His unexpected resignation has stirred reactions within political circles, with party stakeholders expected to meet in the coming days to discuss a possible replacement.

Ganduje previously served two terms as Governor of Kano State and was appointed APC National Chairman amid efforts to stabilise the party’s internal structure.
