President Bola Tinubu has approved fresh appointments into key federal agencies, naming new chief executives for the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO) and the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).
In the appointments, Hon. Magaji Aliyu was named Managing Director of SHESTCO, Abuja. The complex is responsible for research and development in science and technology, including the operation of Nigeria’s nuclear research facility.
The President also appointed Mr Adesayo Michael as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NEMSA.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by the Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu further constituted the board of NEMSA with Mr Aliyu Abdulazeez appointed as Executive Director, Technical.
Other board members include Ikechi Nwosu (Chairman, South-East), Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris, Igba Elizabeth (North-Central), Sani Alhaji Shehu (North-East), Adeyemi Adetunji (South-West), and Emmanuel Nkpe (South-South).
Also appointed was Mr Charles Asogwa to represent the South-East zone.
In addition, the President nominated Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Muktar, representing Kaduna State, as Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
The two nominees have been forwarded to the Senate for confirmation, in line with constitutional requirements.
