FINTIRI VOWS JUSTICE FOR MURDERED YOUTH LEADER "ZAMFARA“

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the family of the late Thomas Godwin, popularly known as \"Zamfara\", who was brutally murdered in Hong Local Government Area.

Fintiri, speaking during the visit to the bereaved family in Kala’a, described the killing as a tragic loss and assured them that the state is committed to ensuring justice is served.

\"Today, I was at Kala\'a, Hong LG to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Thomas Godwin (Zamfara), who was tragically murdered,\" the Governor said via his verified social media handle. \"I assured the family that an investigation is already underway, and we are beginning to see promising leads. Very soon, the killers will be brought to justice.\"

Preliminary police reports confirm that Zamfara was attacked by unknown assailants while on his way home. The attackers reportedly used sticks and clubs to beat him to death.

In a press release signed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command revealed that the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has ordered a full-scale investigation into the murder. The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Investigations (DC SCID) has already taken over the case.

\"The Commissioner of Police has directed the DC SCID to swing into action and ensure a thorough investigation is carried out,\" the statement read.

The late Thomas Godwin, widely known as \"Zamfara\", was said to be an active community member and youth leader. His death has sparked outrage and mourning across the state, with calls for swift justice and increased security.

Governor Fintiri reiterated his administration’s commitment to protecting every citizen and ensuring that no criminal act goes unpunished.

\"The killers will not go free,\" the governor affirmed.

Investigations continue as residents of Kala’a and the entire Hong community await justice for Zamfara.
